Sultan Al Kamel Al Ayubi built it in 1211 honoring Imam Al Shafii one of the four Sunni Imams who founded the Shafi’i Sunni Islamic school of jurisprudence. Located at the Imam Shafii Street in the City of the Dead, Cairo, the mausoleum is a hallmark of Ayyubid style architecture and historical significance.
The mystery behind the supernatural judge:
Imam Al Shafii was one of the most talented judges all over the world. He can decide any case and come up with a fair judgment, and some judges were totally unexpected by his peers.
Can you imagine that he’s doing his job even after his death? Yes … Some judges write down the case information and ordinary people write down their disputes in a paper and drop it inside the mausoleum and the answer comes either by incidents or visions or signs or any other method.
